BECOMING A BUSINESS WRITER: OMANI ESP STUDENTS’ SELF-PERCEIVED WRITING CHALLENGES, NEEDS AND WANTS

Today, effective English writing is one of the most valuable professional skills for growth and development in world entrepreneurship. In spite prominence as leading language business education, still biggest challenges that students face. The purpose this paper to report on a study explored Omani student-perceived challenges, needs wants writing. used an online survey involving seventy from Sultan Qaboos University who were asked share their perceptions regard these three dimensions specifically related skill Analysis data was conducted using frequencies, percentages, means standard deviations. Findings reveal place high terms perceived necessity. They also indicate interesting engaging activities contextualized Oman’s business, students’ overall enjoyment level moderate average due throughout learning, lacks perspectives pertaining how tasks assignments could be developed implemented, including providing more guiding practice, feedback, topics real-world tasks. These student analysis’ findings can direct further developments, successful syllabus teaching practice.
