Beam vibration due movement of overweight cargoes on reinforced concrete bridges at different ground conditions

نویسندگان

چکیده

The article deals with the vibrations of a reinforced concrete bridge whose supports are located in soils different properties under action overweight cargoes. assumption is made that structure deformed elastic zone when Hooke's law valid. Fourier method used to solve problem. results presented as graphs changes stresses and deflections along coordinate time, which accompanied by analysis. When concentrated load applied, depending on stiffness coefficient connection between ground, exceeding limit can occur middle beam cross-section. Thus, calculations, it necessary consider nature interaction surrounding calculating beams for moving loads.

Tapered Polymer Fiber Sensors for Reinforced Concrete Beam Vibration Detection

In this study, tapered polymer fiber sensors (TPFSs) have been employed to detect the vibration of a reinforced concrete beam (RC beam). The sensing principle was based on transmission modes theory. The natural frequency of an RC beam was theoretically analyzed. Experiments were carried out with sensors mounted on the surface or embedded in the RC beam. Vibration detection results agreed well w...

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Modeling of a reinforced concrete beam subjected to impact vibration using ABAQUS

A 3D finite element (FE) analysis technique using ABAQUS is chosen to explore the dynamic behavior of a beam under impact load. A beam, for which the impact dynamic test was conducted by Kishi (2004), is selected to develop a solid element FE model. FE analyses were performed implementing ABAQUS Explicit (2004) programming tool to predict the dynamic responses under the pressure amplitude intro...
