چکیده
The paper shows the results of long-term field studies species composition and number bats in 8 abandoned mines Mogol-Tau mountains foothills northern slope Turkestan Mountain ranges territory Northern Tajikistan. It reveals that diversity have decreased both “winter” stationary mine “summer” ranges. At same time, Myotis blythii Tomes 1857 has remarkably increased summer. suggests these changes are not directly related to human activities, but deeper causes and, possibly, associated with global climate change.

Virtual Groups 45 Years Later
In 1961 George Mackey introduced the concept of a virtual group as an equivalence class under similarity of ergodic measured groupoids, and he developed this circle of ideas in subsequent papers in 1963 and 1966. The goal here is first to explain these ideas, place them in a larger context, and then to show how they have influenced and helped to shape developments in four different but related ...

It summarized the state of knowledge of the time and introduced much new research that was ongoing at the Institute of Physiology in Prague. At the time, the response of a muscle to denervation was viewed primarily through the lens of the neurotrophic theory. Advances ...

متن کاملNovel Bartonella Species in Insectivorous Bats, Northern China
Bartonella species are emerging human pathogens. Bats are known to carry diverse Bartonella species, some of which are capable of infecting humans. However, as the second largest mammalian group by a number of species, the role of bats as the reservoirs of Bartonella species is not fully explored, in term of their species diversity and worldwide distribution. China, especially Northern China, h...
متن کاملIndoor radon entry: 30 years later
The paper discusses the results of 30 years of radon indoor entry research. While some progress has been made, many discrepancies between current theories and experimental data still remain. Misconceptions of radon transport mechanisms in homes are analyzed. The role of US Environmental Protection Agency in radon indoor entry research is examined and the agency's policies are criticize...
