Banana scientifically known as Musa sp. is a famous tropical fruit majorly cultivated in India with production of 29 million tonnes. One the underrated parts banana plant edible flower (banana inflorescence/blossom) which can be utilized several ways for nutritional and therapeutic purposes it to have potential antioxidant, anti-carcinogenic, anti-diabetic properties. The present paper primarily focuses on health benefits inflorescence bioactive components responsible its Secondly, describes different traditional dishes blossom made highlighting regionality, ingredients used, preparation procedures view popularize these ethnic delicacies functionality among other world.
