چکیده
Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) exhibit excellent opto-electronic properties along with fine-tunable structure and surface properties, which have made them versatile drug carriers. Here GQDs were prepared using carbon black as precursor through oxidation ball-milling. The found to be nano-sized, oxidized, water-soluble highly fluorescent. extremely biocompatible against the tested cell lines namely: LO2, HeLa, PC-12 MCF-7 uptaken by cancer cells in greater amounts increased concentrations incubation times. B-Lapachone, an anti-cancer hydrophobic drug, was loaded onto pi-pi bonding for its release profile dialysis. released at a significantly higher rate acidic pH specifically, compared normal cell's relative alkaline pH. GQD-drug conjugate enhanced cytotoxicity free from MTT assay. In whole, sized-down GQDs, having biocompatibility photostability delivery has been designed tested.

Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) maintain the intrinsic layered structural motif of graphene but with smaller lateral size and abundant periphery carboxylic groups, and are more compatible with biological system, thus are promising nanomaterials for therapeutic applications. Here we show that GQDs have a superb ability in drug delivery and anti-cancer activity boost without any pre-modification due...

Background and Objectives: The inability of classic fluorescence-activated cell sorting to single cancer cell sorting is one of the most significant drawbacks of this method. The sorting of cancer cells in microdroplets significantly influences our ability to analyze cancer cell proteins. Material and Methods: We adapted a developed microfluidic device as a 3D in vitro model to sorted MCF-7 c...

متن کاملFluorescent graphene quantum dots as traceable, pH-sensitive drug delivery systems.
Graphene quantum dots (GQDs) were rationally fabricated as a traceable drug delivery system for the targeted, pH-sensitive delivery of a chemotherapeutic drug into cancer cells. The GQDs served as fluorescent carriers for a well-known anticancer drug, doxorubicin (Dox). The whole system has the capacity for simultaneous tracking of the carrier and of drug release. Dox release is triggered upon ...
