Bactericidal Activity of Larrea tridentata Hydroalcoholic Extract against Phytopathogenic Bacteria

نویسندگان

چکیده

Due to the emergence of bacterial resistance in phytopathogenic microorganisms, it is necessary search for new treatment alternatives these pathogens. Natural extracts are a potential source bioactive compounds that can act against such strains. The antibacterial activity Larrea tridentata bacteria with public health importance has been documented; however, few reports cover pathogens associated agricultural sector. aim present study was evaluate hydroalcoholic extract (LTHE) and fractions bacteria. LTHE obtained by maceration technique then subjected bipartition using solvents different polarities. Clavibacter michiganensis sbsp. michiganensis, Pseudomonas syringae, Xanthomonas campestris strains were used, their antibiotic sensitivity determined. minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) bactericidal (MBC) its (aqueous: LTAq-F; organic: LTEtOAc-F) organic fraction showed three bacteria, showing better X. campestris, exhibiting an MIC 0.39 mg/mL MBC 0.78 mg/mL. results show have vitro campestris.

A library of linear undecapeptides with bactericidal activity against phytopathogenic bacteria.

A 125-member library of synthetic linear undecapeptides was prepared based on a previously described peptide H-K(1)KLFKKILKF(10)L-NH(2) (BP76) that inhibited in vitro growth of the plant pathogenic bacteria Erwinia amylovora, Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria, and Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae at low micromolar concentrations. Peptides were designed using a combinatorial chemistry appr...

Nordihydroguaiaretic Acid Recovery from Larrea Tridentata by Microwave-assisted Extraction

Nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA) is a powerful antioxidant with biological activities of great interest in several health areas, including antiviral, cancer chemopreventive, and antitumorgenic. Little information is available on extraction methods of NDGA from Larrea tridentata. Hence, the aim of this study was to develop a rapid and effective microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) method for NDGA...
