Back contact nature effect on the CZTS/ZnS based heterojunction

This work contributes to the discussion on influence of back contact electrical properties Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS)-based solar cells. Devices with noble metals (Au, Ag and Pt) such as FTO/ZnS/CZTS/Au, FTO/ZnS/CZTS/Pt FTO/ZnS/CZTS/Ag were investigated by means current voltage characteristic in dark (FTO = fluorine-doped tin oxide). The originality this is that all active layers (absorbing buffer layers) are deposited same system using spray pyrolysis technique. metallic contacts sputter deposited. X-ray diffraction (XRD) UV–visible spectrophotometry used investigate main structural optical different constituting cell. characterization achieved I–V proves synthesized heterojunctions exhibit a rectifying behavior. Furthermore, ideality factors Au, Pt estimated 1.6, 2.4 2.8, respectively. lower saturation series resistance measured heterojunction Au contact. From study, it shown could be an alternative Mo CZTS-based cell prepared pyrolysis.
