Abstract The aim of the present work is synthesis and optimal tunning a PID controller designed to control displacement volume an axial-piston pump intended for hydraulic systems with open circulation. controlled in real-time through system developed by authors based on electro-hydraulic proportional valve (replacing conventional hydro-mechanical controller) industrial controller. experimental was initially used obtain data set that identification procedure model. obtained state space model parameters performed using three modern methods: genetic algorithm, simulated annealing pattern search. resulting controllers different settings depending methods are compared simulation conditions. Based results, analysis performance carried out.
