Awareness of gestational diabetes problem among Sohag Governorate women

Abstract Background Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is the most frequent and prevalent medical condition in pregnancy. Well-controlled GDM results reduction of these unfavorable outcomes. Aim To assess women’s knowledge many elements gestational mellitus, including general awareness condition, risk factors, diabetic patients’ diets, consequences among women governorate Sohag. Patients methods In this research, 500 were chosen at random from a population, over period 6 months, to participate descriptive survey utilizing questionnaire approach Sohag Governorate. Results The mean total score was 9.62 ± 4.24. A 69.6% study participants showed good (≥ 9), while 30.4% them low about diabetes. There significant positive relation between degree family history ( p = 0.038) as there substantial increase high cases who had Conclusion Awareness satisfactory Other’s experiences or advices common source knowledge. proportional relationship occupation, higher age, diabetes, level education.
