This study uses a sample of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians (N = 240) who differ in skill, education, income to replicate extend past findings about socioeconomic disparities the perceptions automation. Specifically, this applies skills-biased technical change hypothesis, an economic theory that low-skill jobs are most likely be affected by increased automation (Acemoglu & Restrepo, 2019), mental models workers. We formalize hypothesis anxiety leads will future increase. also posit overpayment related these outcomes. Results largely support skillsbiased as model shared workers regardless position, with few effects for anxiety.
