As programming has become a common feature of undergraduate mathematics degrees, there been an increasing focus on how to teach and assess the subject mathematicians. The potential benefits e-assessment basic exercises have many parallels with assessment in where tools are widely used: chance give instant feedback students offers opportunity allow work at their own pace, accommodating disparate background that often exists cohorts. And randomisation question content not only powerful tool for practice, able repeat similar problems over over, it also can offer some protection against plagiarism where, just like solution mathematical problems, student answers identical likely be very similar.
