چکیده

An automated approach to hydrologic and water quality modeling on a catchment scale is presented, one that automatically produces suitable models from domain knowledge measured data. essential component of the methodology library, comprising hydrological nutrient loading processes containing alternative formulations for some them. The library written in formalism compatible with equation discovery tool ProBMoT. Given user specification task, ProBMoT searches space candidate encoded library. generated are optimized against provided data, best-fitted model proposed as most observed system. was applied Quarteira River (Algarve, Portugal). Analysis average annual balance, sediment yields, loadings support findings previous research work, while results comparable or better than obtained SWAT model.

Modelling The Water Quality Impacts Of Forest Roads At The Catchment Scale

A 13,451 ha forested catchment in SE Australia was instrumented for one year to quantify total instream exports of total suspended sediment (TSS) and total phosphorus (TP). 101 road-stream crossings were mapped and characterised in detail within the catchment to identify the properties of these road sections that connect directly to the stream network. Sediment and nutrient generation rates fro...

Integrated Water Allocation-Economic Modelling at a Catchment Scale

Rapid economic and population growth has led to increased demand for water from the industrial and domestic sectors and put pressure on resources available for agricultural production. With growing scarcity and increasing inter-sectorial competition for water the need for efficient and sustainable water allocation policies has also become more important. Finding ways to meet this growing demand...

Mike She-ecolab – an Integrated Catchment-scale Eco- Hydrological Modelling Tool

Two of the key objectives of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD) are: 1) to protect and enhance the status of aquatic ecosystems (and terrestrial ecosystems and wetlands directly dependent on aquatic ecosystems) and 2) to provide for sufficient supply of good quality surface water and groundwater as needed for sustainable, balanced and equitable water use. These requirements, together ...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Multiscale investigations in a mesoscale catchment – hydrological modelling in the Gera catchment

The application of the hydrological processoriented model J2000 (J2K) is part of a cooperation project between the Thuringian Environmental Agency (Thüringer Landesanstalt für Umwelt und Geologie – TLUG) and the Department of Geoinformatics of the Friedrich-SchillerUniversity Jena focussing on the implementation of the EU water framework directive (WFD). In the first project phase J2K was param...
