Authoritarianism as a “Wicked Problem” in Contemporary International Relations

This study aims to explore the concept of authoritarianism, which – presented in terms “wicked problem” contemporary world seems be a severe challenge present-day International Relations (IR), both theoretical and practical dimensions. The author article defines authoritarianism as form political system power material resources state have been centralized, appropriated, put at disposal either an individual or elitist group “in power.” In this way, possibilities integrating authoritarian economic dimension with global international relations are limited, vital administrative institutions manipulated appropriated. applied research method allows for interpreting discussed issues complex albeit specific systemic form, characteristic not only politically fragile declining countries regions but also stable economically developed ones. author’s analysis presentation reinterpretation issue regimes concerning that define often legitimize repeatedly even validate some most despotic, autocratic, hegemonistic forms systems modern times.
