چکیده

Abstract Tall fleabane is emerging as a problematic weed species in the eastern cropping region of Australia. Recently, growers indicated poor control tall to field rate glyphosate fallow fields. Pot studies were conducted an open at Gatton farm University Queensland, Australia, confirm level resistance putative glyphosate-resistant (GR) population and evaluate performance alternative postemergence herbicides GR fleabane. Compared with glyphosate-susceptible (GS) population, was 4-fold 3.5-fold greater based on plant survival biomass, respectively. The target-site mechanism not present because both GS populations had same gene sequence. There several effective for small (4-leaf stage) plants fleabane, but large (12- 14-leaf plants, sole application saflufenacil + trifludimoxazin or its mixtures glyphosate, glufosinate, paraquat best herbicide treatments. This first published report occurrence Growers need use integrated management strategies mitigate further spread fields well crops.

Glyphosate and herbicide resistant plants

There is a common understanding that commercially traded formulations of glyphosate, such as Roundup, can be more toxic than glyphosate alone. Therefore, the EU has already taken measures to remove problematic additives known as POE tallowamine from the market. However, imports of genetically engineered plants resistant to glyphosate are exposed to high dosages of the herbicide in countries whe...

Herbicide Programs for Control of Glyphosate-Resistant Volunteer Corn in Glufosinate-Resistant Soybean

Glyphosate-resistant (GR) volunteer corn is a significant problem weed in soybean grown in rotation with corn in the midwestern United States and eastern Canada. The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of glufosinate applied in single or sequential applications compared with acetylcoenzyme A carboxylase (ACCase) inhibitors applied alone or tank mixed with glufosinate for contro...

Interactions of tillage and cover crop on water, sediment, and pre-emergence herbicide loss in glyphosate-resistant cotton: implications for the control of glyphosate-resistant weed biotypes.

The need to control glyphosate [N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine]-resistant weed biotypes with tillage and preemergence herbicides in glyphosate-resistant crops (GRCs) is causing a reduction in no-tillage hectarage thereby threatening the advances made in water quality over the past decade. Consequently, if environmental gains afforded by GRCs are to be maintained, then an in-field best management pr...

Control of Herbicide-resistant Volunteer Corn in Herbicide-resistant Soybean

Glyphosate-resistant corn and soybean are grown in rotations in the Midwest, including Nebraska. Volunteer corn is a problematic weed in soybean fields because it causes harvest problems, reduces yield and seed quality, and potentially harbors insects, pests, and diseases. Several pre-packaged herbicides have been registered in soybean in recent years, but response of volunteer corn to these he...

Assessment of glyphosate-resistant horseweed (Conyza canadensis L. Cronq.) and fleabane (Conyza albida Willd. ex Spreng) populations from perennial crops in Greece

The extended use of glyphosate resulted to its reduced efficacy against increasingly problematic weeds, such as Conyza spp. The objectives of this study were to determine the occurrence of glyphosate resistance in horseweed (C. canadensis) and fleabane (C. albida) populations in Greece, to evaluate the effect of weed growth stage on glyphosate efficacy under controlled environmental condit...
