Asymptotic scalar field cosmology in string theory

A bstract Asymptotic (late-time) cosmology depends on the asymptotic (infinite-distance) limits of scalar field space in string theory. Such feature an exponentially decaying potential V ~ exp(− cϕ ) with corresponding Hubble scale H $$ \sqrt{{\dot{\phi}}^2+2V} ϕ ̇ 2 + V λ Hϕ ), and at least one tower particles whose masses as m λϕ required by Distance Conjecture. In this paper, we provide evidence that these coefficients satisfy inequalities \sqrt{\left(d-1\right)/\left(d-2\right)} d − 1 / ≥ lightest 1 / \sqrt{d-2} d spacetime dimensions, where is coefficient tower. This means late times, rolls to ϕ → ∞, low-energy theory remains a -dimensional FRW decelerated expansion, light towers predicted Conjecture remain or above scale, both strong energy condition dominant are satisfied.
