چکیده
Hip dysplasia (HD) is a typical developmental abnormality of the hip joint, and discomfort often found in adulthood. This study compared patients with symptomatic HD muscle strength, dynamic balance, range motion (ROM) healthy individuals. Patients included those who complained unilateral pain although lateral center edge angle (LCEA) exhibited bilateral abnormality. Participants (n = 95; men: 46, women: 49) were divided into asymptomatic sides, group without history joint disease 70; 30, 40) was compared. flexion, extension, abduction, adduction performed at an angular velocity 30°/s using isokinetic strength test device. The Y-balance conducted to measure ROM measured electronic goniometer evaluate adduction, internal external rotations. In addition, visual analog scale (VAS) groin outcome (HAGOS), subjective evaluation evaluated. (flexion, rotation, rotation) significantly decreased sides men women side, abduction also lower on sides. Although LCEA side than that group, there no significant differences VAS, ROM, extension conclusion, mostly bilateral, decrease strength; however, function relatively close normal.

Background: The present study examined the relationship between muscle strength and range of motion in the lower extremity, and balance and risk of falling in the elderly. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on healthy elderly (mean±SD age: 65.64±4.95 y) in Rasht City, Iran. The study participants were 65 healthy male elderly who met the stud inclusion criteria. They were selecte...

Introduction and Aim: This study aimed to determine the effect and persistence of neuromuscular correction programs on landing position, static and dynamic balance in athletes with Dynamic Knee Valgus defects. Methods: The statistical population of this quasi-experimental study included teenagers athletes in soccer with dynamic knee valgus deformity who were purposefully selected and randomly ...
متن کاملEffect of femoral offset on range of motion and abductor muscle strength after total hip arthroplasty.
At a minimum of one year after operation, we studied 64 patients with 86 total hip arthroplasties (THA) by standard anteroposterior hip and pelvic radiographs and measurement of range of motion and of isometric abduction strength. The femoral offset correlated positively with the range of abduction (p = 0.046). Abduction strength correlated positively with both femoral offset (p = 0.0001) and t...
متن کاملMuscle strength and knee range of motion after femoral lengthening
Background and purpose - Femoral lengthening may result in decrease in knee range of motion (ROM) and quadriceps and hamstring muscle weakness. We evaluated preoperative and postoperative knee ROM, hamstring muscle strength, and quadriceps muscle strength in a diverse group of patients undergoing femoral lengthening. We hypothesized that lengthening would not result in a significant change in k...
