چکیده
Abstract The ‘Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research’ (FAIR), an international accelerator centre, is under construction in Darmstadt, Germany. FAIR will provide high-intensity primary beams of protons heavy-ions, intense secondary antiprotons rare short-lived isotopes. These beams, together with a variety modern experimental setups, allow to perform unique research program on nuclear astrophysics, including the exploration nucleosynthesis universe, QCD matter at high baryon densities, order shed light properties neutron stars, dynamics star mergers. Compressed Baryonic Matter (CBM) experiment investigate collisions between heavy nuclei, measure various diagnostic probes, which are sensitive high-density equation-of-state (EOS), microscopic degrees-of-freedom matter. CBM physics be discussed.

Radioactive Ion Beams for Astrophysics
The chemical element evolution of galaxies depends on nuclear processes that occur in various types of stellar environments throughout their lifecycle. These processes divide into two generic classes: processes that evolve over millions or billions of years involving reactions between stable nuclei, and processes that evolve explosively within seconds involving reactions between very unstable, ...
متن کاملLinks Between Heavy Ion and Astrophysics
Heavy ion experiments provide important data to test astrophysical models. The high density equation of state can be probed in HI collisions and applied to the hot protoneutron star formed in core collapse supernovae. The Parity Radius Experiment (PREX) aims to accurately measure the neutron radius of Pb with parity violating electron scattering. This determines the pressure of neutron rich mat...
متن کاملHeavy Ion Beams for Inertial Fusion
The United States' program in inertial confinement fusion (ICF) is described in this paper, with emphasis on the studies of the use of intense high energy beams of heavy ions to provide the power and energy nkeded to initiate thermonuclear burn. Preliminary calculations of the transport of intense ion beams in an electrostatic quadrupole focussing structure are discussed. In a companion paper i...
متن کاملPhoton-Induced Physics with Heavy-Ion Beams in ALICE
Photon-induced interactions have traditionally been studied with lepton beams in fixed target experiments and at colliders. But two–photon and photon–hadron interactions can occur also when the lepton beams are replaced by high energy protons or heavy ions[1,2]. The electromagnetic interactions can be studied in ultra-peripheral collisions where the impact parameters are larger than the sum of ...
