چکیده
Background Allergy, the most frequent immune disorder affecting 30% of world's population, is consequence immunoglobin E (IgE) sensitization to allergens. Among genetic factors suspected be involved in allergy, HLA class-II genomic region a strong candidate. Objective To assess association between alleles and specific IgE (sIgE) large number respiratory allergen molecules. Methods The analysis relied on 927 participants EGEA cohort, including 497 asthmatics. study focuses 26 aeroallergens recognized by sIgE at least 5% population (determined with MEDALL chip ? 0.3 ISU) 23 imputed alleles. For each allele, we fitted logistic regression model accounting for familial dependence adjusted gender, age, principal components. p-values were corrected multiple comparisons (False Discovery Rate). Results Most 19 statistically significant associations observed regard pollen allergens (mugwort Art v 1, olive tree Ole e timothy grass Phl p 2, 5 plantain Pla l 1), three mold (Alternaria Alt single one regards house dust mite (Der 7). No was pet strongest found mugwort 1 (OR = 5.42 (95%CI, 3.30; 8.88), 4.14 (2.65; 6.47), 3.16 (1.88; 5.31) DQB1*05:01, DQA1*01:01 DRB1*01:01, respectively). Conclusion Our results support important role as response genes predisposing their carriers various major

Association between HLA-Class I and HLA-Class II Alleles and Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Infection in Iraqi Patients from Baghdad City
Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis (PT) is one of the endemic diseases in Iraq, and among the suggested predisposing factors are alleles of the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) system. We sought to investigate the association between HLA-class I (A and B) and -class II (DR and DQ) alleles in a sample of PT Iraqi patients. Methods: lymphocytes of 105 PT patients and 40 controls were phenotyped for H...
متن کاملAssociations of Moyamoya patients with HLA class I and class II alleles in the Korean population.
Moyamoya disease is characterized by progressive cerebrovascular occlusion at the peripheral internal carotid artery and development of abnormal collateral circulation at the cerebral basal region. Although abnormal thrombogenesis, inflammation and autoimmune process might be involved in the etiology, the genetic pathogenesis of Moyamoya disease is still unknown. To evaluate the association of ...

Background: Pediatric bronchial asthma is associated with considerable morbidity. The study was carried out to examine the association of Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA)- Class II with the disease as we found no similar study on Asian Indian population. Objective: To define the HLA-Class II antigens in Asian Indian pediatric patients with asthma. Methods: A total of 103 children with asthma and 1...

asthma is a complex and multifactorial disorder. several studies have reported association between different hla- dqb1 and hla- drb1 alleles and allergic asthma. the aim of the present study was to investigate the association of hla-class ii alleles and haplotypes, with total serum ige and the results of the skin prick test in iranian children with allergic asthma. a total of 112 patients with ...
