چکیده
Objective: This study was conducted to identify the association of HLA-DRB1/DQB1 genes with susceptibility or resistance type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1D) among patients between ages five and eighteen. Subjects Methods: The included 200 Sudanese participants, ranging from 5 18. One hundred participants were healthy non-diabetic as control group 100 T1D case group. investigation carried out in Khartoum state. selection diabetic centers hospitals. allele-specific-refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction (ARMS-PCR) technique applied HLA gene polymorphism. Results: There a significant difference genotype frequency across groups current (Kruskal-Wallis, p-value= 0.021). Whereas CG not substantially different (Chi-square, p-value=0.116), CC considerably greater (46.0%) (Chi-square Adjusted p-value0.001). Conclusion: found that patients' genotypes allele frequencies are significantly correlated when compared those participants.

Two hundred and eighty-eight patients with insulin-dependent diabetes w,o were aged 30 or under at onset and 150 patients with late-onset diabetes, 50 of them dependent on insulin and 100 not dependent on insulin, were HLA-typed. There was a significant positive association between the young-onset insulin-dependent patients and HLA-B8, BW15, and B18 and a significant negative association with B...
متن کاملGenetic Susceptibility to Transient and Permanent Neonatal Diabetes Mellitus
Neonatal diabetes mellitus (NDM) is a rare kind of diabetes characterized by hyperglycemia and low levels of insulin. Clinically, it is categorized into two main types: transient NDM (TNDM) and permanent NDM (PNDM). These types are diagnosed based on duration of insulin dependence early in the disease. In TNDM, diabetes begins in the first few weeks of life with remission in a few months. Howev...

OBJECTIVE We report here genotyping data and type 1 diabetes association analyses for HLA class I loci (A, B, and C) on 1,753 multiplex pedigrees from the Type 1 Diabetes Genetics Consortium (T1DGC), a large international collaborative study. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS Complete eight-locus HLA genotyping data were generated. Expected patient class I (HLA-A, -B, and -C) allele frequencies wer...
متن کاملGenetic susceptibility to type 1 diabetes mellitus in humans.
Type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM 1A) is an autoimmune disease belonging to the most frequent chronic diseases of the childhood and young adults. DM 1A results from immune-mediated destruction of the insulin-producing beta cells of the pancreas. It is a genetically determined disease and many genes or genetic regions were found to be associated with its induction. In addition to the insulin-dependen...

Background Metabolic syndrome (MES) consists of central obesity, hypertension, reduced high density lipoprotein (HDL), elevated serum triglycerides and high Fasting blood sugar (FBS). They are susceptible to cardio-vascular disease, and insulin resistance. The goal of present research was to assess any relation between the composition of the body in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) children and ...
