Association Between Female Bony Pelvimetry Using Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Cesarean Delivery due to Cephalopelvic Disproportion

Purpose: To analyze the difference in bony pelvimetry using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) women who delivered vaginally and those underwent cesarean section (CS) due to cephalopelvic disproportion (CPD).Methods: This retrospective case-control study enrolled Korean gave birth their first child between 37 42 weeks of pregnancy pelvic MRI January 2014 June 2020. These were classified into 3 groups: vaginal delivery (VD), CS CPD (CPD-CS), reasons other than (Other-CS). In images, true conjugate (TC), obstetric (OC), mid anterior-posterior (AP) distance (MAD), outlet AP (OAD), ischial spine (ISD), tuberosity (ITD), pubic angle (PA) measured.Results: total, 392 enrolled. There no significant differences maternal height body mass index at among groups. The ISD was statistically different VD group (106.2±6.4 mm) Other-CS (110.4±8.8 (p=0.014). After multiple regression analysis, short (adjusted odds ratio [aOR], 0.92; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.87-0.97; p=0.002), MAD (aOR, 0.95; CI, 0.89-0.99; p=0.047), ITD 0.91-0.99; p=0.019) significantly associated with CPD.Conclusion: Short ISD, MAD, ITD, measured MRI, are important parameters that can predict CPD. accumulation related research could promote development an excellent method terms cost-effectiveness. Thus, it may be possible establish a reduce perinatal complications dystonia.
