Assessment the Air Pollution at the some Areas in Salahaddin Governorate - Iraq

Abstract The study was conducted in Salah al-Din Governorate - northern Iraq, during the period from 1/11/2021 to 30/3/2022, with aim of evaluating level pollutants atmospheric air for three areas: Al-Boutama (rural area), Baiji refinery (oil industry and city Tikrit (a densely populated concentrations toxic gases were measured: sulfur dioxide (SO 2 ), nitrogen oxide (NO), nitrite (NO hydrochloric acid (HCl), hydrogen fluoride (HF), carbon (CO ) monoxide. (CO), using Wolf Pack Modular Area Monitor. results as follows: Significant differences found between sites all variables tested, recorded highest values each SO , NO, NO HCl HF, which amounted 2.54, 8.28, 6.4, 10.62 ppm 0.42 mg/ m 3 respectively. November 2021 CO compounds averages 7.6 18.37 mg/m respectively, while January 2022 HF 5.27 0.4 mg/m3 791 ppm, interaction site months November, December amounting 4.4 concentration, 11.2 7.9 13.8 0.7 16.5 VOCs concentration.
