Assessment of the Effect of Multidrug Resistance Clostridium difficile Clinical Strains on the Dynamics of Clostridium difficile Infection Rate at Pediatric Oncological Hospital

چکیده

Relevance. At the children's oncological hospital guidelines to treat patients with several groups of antibiotics at same time, which ensures formation multi-resistant strains Clostridium difficile, have a selective advantage for difficile infection developing, and also cause epidemics /or in associating an increase severity – infection. Aims. Multidrug resistance rate pediatric hospital. Results. An investigation carried out among children 143 toxigenic are resistant moxifloxacin 72.41%, clindamycin 63.72%, rifampicin 35.54%, tetracycline 26.45%, tigecycline 11.42%, vancomycin 4.4%, metronidazole 3.9%. multidrug-resistant proportion note level 3–4% per year. However, remained 0.4% 3.1% downward trend. As result, statistical calculations showed absence correlation between multidrug morbidity. Conclusions. Detection microorganisms proves need further study this problem Russia advisability monitoring hospitals.

Hypervirulent strains of Clostridium difficile.

North America has seen increasing numbers of hospitalised patients and others in nursing homes and the community, with more severe Clostridium difficile associated diarrhoea. This is also described in Northern Europe and surveillance systems are being developed or improved to monitor the situation. One strain (ribotype O27) is described in detail and, like other emerging strains, is demonstrati...

Association of tcdA+/tcdB+ Clostridium difficile Genotype with Emergence of Multidrug-Resistant Strains Conferring Metronidazole Resistant Phenotype

Background: Reduced susceptibility of Clostridium difficile to antibiotics is problematic in clinical settings. There is new evidence indicating the cotransfer of toxin-encoding genes and conjugative transposons encoding resistance to antibiotics among different C. difficile strains. To analyze this association, in the current study, we evaluated the frequency of toxigenic C. difficile among th...

Multidrug resistance in European Clostridium difficile clinical isolates.

OBJECTIVES Multidrug resistance and antibiotic resistance mechanisms were investigated in 316 Clostridium difficile clinical isolates collected during the first European surveillance on C. difficile in 2005. METHODS MICs of eight different antibiotics were determined using Etest. Reserpine- and carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenylhydrazone-sensitive efflux was tested using the agar dilution method...
