Assessment of temperature effect on bentonite microstructure deformability

چکیده

The temperature effect on the microstructure deformability of compacted bentonites was assessed using a Clausius-Clapeyron type equation. To this end, vapor adsorption data obtained at different temperatures under low water content conditions used, identifying changes in microstructural with void volume. formulation proposed allows for an extension 2D-models used macroscopic double-porosity approaches to 3D surface which is explicitly considered. results were encouraging, fitting experimental highly satisfactorily. Therefore, approach study can be key tool characterizing nonisothermal behavior bentonites.
