Assessment Of Pure Tone Hearing Threshold In Niddm & Its Comparison With Healthy Individual

Aim: To assess whether patients of NIDDM have a higher incidence sensorineural hearing loss.Methodology: A cross-sectional study was conducted included 100 participants such that 50 were diabetics and another werenondiabetics. Pure Tone Audiometry performed on the patient, results assessed by comparing them to patient'sdiabetes duration. The IBM SPSS version 20 software used for all data analysis. tables created using cross tabulation andfrequency distribution.Results: On degree loss between both groups mean threshold ears with durationof diabetes it found distribution cases control significantly different.Conclusion: concluded age had direct association pure tone level which means increasing theage patients, also increases as revealed significant p value <0. 005.
