چکیده
Abstract Advanced spaceborne thermal emission and reflection radiometer (ASTER) data different spectral indices were employed to map gypsum minerals. However, most proposed are designed based on the 2.21 ?m absorption, overlapping with hydroxy-bearing Moreover, seasonal mutual transformation between gypsum, bassanite, anhydrite may lead reflectance variability of formation pixels, affecting classification accuracy indices. In this research, feasibility 2.26 (ASTER band7) absorption for mapping was assessed, using lab ASTER reflectance. On basis this, two new (GI 1 : B4*B8/B6*B7; GI 2 B4*B8/B7*B7) applied exclude interference hydroxyl-bearing minerals effectively. Seasonal pixels confirmed, it causes difference multi-seasonal data. The achieves robust average areas under receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve 98.5% 98.7% summer winter Therefore, can be used mineral mapping, especially in where clay other hydroxyl-containing widely distributed.

15 صفحه اولAssessment of ASTER Data for Soils Investigation Using Field Data and GIS in Damghan Playa
In order to assess the satellite data for soil investigation, ASTER digital data 20 June 2006, field study and phisiochemical properties of soil, were analyzed. All landcover classes including soils are classified based onmorphological and physico-chemical characteristics. Images were geocorrected and photomorphic units were selected based upon visual interpretation and sampling in study area. ...
متن کاملSpectral Mixture Analysis for Mapping Abundance of Urban Surface Components from the Terra/aster Data
Using a linear unconstrained least squares (LSS) method and a non-linear artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm, we conducted a spectral mixture analysis to the Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflectance Radiometer (ASTER) image data in Yokohama city, Japan, for mapping the abundance of the urban surface components. ASTER is a newly developed research facility instrument. The spect...
متن کاملcomparison between airborne geophysical and aster data for hydrothermal alteration mapping for exploration of copper mineralization
the study area covers the northern part of the baft geological map (scale of 1:100 000 ). several porphyry and vein-type mineralization are reported from this area. a topic that is discussed in the mineral exploration community is the use of remote sensing and airborne geophysics for porphyry type mineralization. which one is more reliable and efficient in hydrothermal alteration mapping? airbo...
متن کاملAdaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System application for hydrothermal alteration mapping using ASTER data
The main problem associated with the traditional approach to image classification for the mapping of hydrothermal alteration is that materials not associated with hydrothermal alteration may be erroneously classified as hydrothermally altered due to the similar spectral properties of altered and unaltered minerals. The major objective of this paper is to investigate the potential of a neuro-fuz...
