Assessment of Neotectonic Landscape Deformation in Evia Island, Greece, Using GIS-Based Multi-Criteria Analysis

چکیده
This study deals with the assessment and mapping of neotectonic landscape deformation in northern part Evia Island (Central Greece). Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) utilizing Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) Weighted Linear Combination (WLC) procedures were conducted for calculation Neotectonic Landscape Deformation Index (NLDI). The is based on combination morphotectonic, geomorphological geological parameters. GIS-based spatial MCDA led to classification area into five classes (from very low high) a map. results compared outputs relative tectonic activity approach quantitative geomorphic analysis at regional scale, including site-specific field observations. Areas high are related major active faults Dirfis, Kandili Gregolimano–Telethrio. Other minor normal medium seismic risk level, affecting northeastern parts island, also associated areas intense deformation.

متن کاملGIS-based multi-criteria analysis for land use suitability assessment in City of Regina
Background: Land use suitability assessment is a key factor in any urban and suburban planning and decision-making processes. The assessment is evaluated by a series of criteria involving socio-economic needs. To deal with the conflicting, disproportionate and multiple criteria, land usage will be characterized with respect to the preferences and importance. Meanwhile, many spatial decision pro...
متن کاملA GIS-Based Sensitivity Analysis of Multi-Criteria Weights
Sensitivity analysis (SA) is a prerequisite for model building since it determines the reliability of the model through assessment of uncertainties in the simulation results. With growing interest in extending GIS to support multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods, enhancing GIS-based MCDM with sensitivity analysis procedures is crucial. SA should be involved in GIS-MCDM model evaluation ...

متن کاملGIS Based Multi-Criteria Analysis for Assessment of Groundwater Potential and Land Suitability
The practical application of sustainable development concepts in groundwater resource management will be complex. The past studies indicate long-term aim of integration to develop the spatial decision support system (SDSS), which is devoted to help decision makers in spatial problems. The essence of this paper is to present a strategy of the groundwater potential with integrating geographical i...
