چکیده

Background: Diffuse parenchymal liver diseases are contributing substantially to global morbidity and represent major causes of deaths worldwide. The aim our study is assess whether established hepatic fat iron quantitation relaxometry-based quantification hepatocyte-specific contrast material as surrogate for function estimation allows evaluate fibrosis.

Hepatocyte-Specific Contrast-enhanced MRI for Quantitative Assessment of Liver Function in Children

Objectives: The liver is a complex, multifunctional organ involved in a variety of critical processes. Accurate determination of liver function in children is difficult and current biomarkers often fail to truly assess functional capacity. Advances in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with hepatocyte-specific, gadolinium-based agents have enabled improved liver imaging. Since a functional hepato...

Hepatocyte-specific contrast agent-enhanced magnetic resonance cholangiography: perioperative evaluation of the biliary tree

A large number of gadolinium chelates have recently been tested in clinical trials. Some of those have already been approved for clinical use in the United States and Europe. Thus, new diagnostic perspectives have been incorporated into magnetic resonance imaging studies. Among such gadolinium chelates are hepatobiliary-specific contrast agents (HSCAs), which, due to their property of being sel...

Supradiaphragmatic Liver Confirmed by a Hepatocyte-specific Contrast Agent (Gd-EOB-DTPA): A Case Report

Supradiaphragmatic liver is a rare condition. Establishing an accurate preoperative diagnosis is difficult. Operative exploration is necessary to differentiate this lesion from intrathoracic masses, such as a pleural based tumor, diaphragmatic tumor and peripheral lung tumor. However, with the aid of the hepatocyte-specific magnetic resonance imaging contrast agent, gadoxetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA)...

Hepatocyte Growth Factor Isoforms in Tissue Repair, Cancer, and Fibrotic Remodeling

Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), also known as scatter factor (SF), is a pleotropic factor required for normal organ development during embryogenesis. In the adult, basal expression of HGF maintains tissue homeostasis and is up-regulated in response to tissue injury. HGF expression is necessary for the proliferation, migration, and survival of epithelial and endothelial cells involved in tissue ...

Collagen-specific peptide conjugated HDL nanoparticles as MRI contrast agent to evaluate compositional changes in atherosclerotic plaque regression.

OBJECTIVES This study sought to develop magnetic resonance contrast agents based on high-density lipoprotein (HDL) nanoparticles to noninvasively visualize intraplaque macrophages and collagen content in mouse atherosclerotic plaques. BACKGROUND Macrophages and collagen are important intraplaque components that play central roles in plaque progression and/or regression. In a Reversa mouse mod...
