چکیده

Geopolymer is an inorganic form of alumina-silica that synthesized through materials containing lots silica (Si) and alumina (Al) originating from nature or industrial by-products. The geopolymer binder a two-component system consisting solid components have sufficient amounts SiO2 Al2O3 to compounds such as fly ash, rice straw pozzolan, laterite soil, slag, etc. This study aims analyze the compressive strength, chemical compositions, geopolymerization process geopolymers produced lateritic soil bound with alkaline activator, sodium hydroxide (NaOH), concentration 12 M. durability mortar was determined by soaking for 3, 7, 28 days using water curing sulphate (Sodium Sulphate, Na2SO4, Sulfuric Acid, H2SO4). results showed (NaOH) can release in amorphous phase be used made without oven heat, according process. this support use waste (fly ash soil) local (straw ash) mortar-forming materials. Furthermore, it aid development eco-friendly (environmentally friendly) national infrastructure eliminating need heat initiate polymerization reaction. However, research also developed increase strength mortar, which resembles conventional concrete general. Doi: 10.28991/CEJ-2023-09-06-012 Full Text: PDF

Fly Ash-Based Geopolymer Mortar Incorporating Bottom Ash

This paper presents the results of study on effect of various parameters on mechanical properties of fly ash-based geopolymer mortar with bottom ash as partial or full replacement for sand. Compressive strength of samples with 10% bottom ash (BA) was comparable to those with only sand. Further increase in bottom ash content decreased the compressive strength. However, the reverse tendency occur...

Strength and Durability Performance of Alkali-Activated Rice Husk Ash Geopolymer Mortar

This paper describes the experimental investigation carried out to develop the geopolymer concrete based on alkali-activated rice husk ash (RHA) by sodium hydroxide with sodium silicate. Effect on method of curing and concentration of NaOH on compressive strength as well as the optimum mix proportion of geopolymer mortar was investigated. It is possible to achieve compressive strengths of 31 N/...

Mechanical Properties and Microstructure of Class C Fly Ash-Based Geopolymer Paste and Mortar

This paper presents workability, compressive strength and microstructure for geopolymer pastes and mortars made of class C fly ash at mass ratios of water-to-fly ash from 0.30 to 0.35. Fluidity was in the range of 145-173 mm for pastes and 131-136 mm for mortars. The highest strengths of paste and mortar were 58 MPa and 85 MPa when they were cured at 70 °C for 24 h. In XRD patterns, unreacted q...
