Assessment of Flexural Performance of Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened with Internal and External AR-Glass Textile Systems

This paper is an experimental study of the effectiveness using internal and external alkali-resistant glass fabric textile (AR-GT) layers for flexural strengthening reinforced concrete (RC) beams. The work compares single triple AR-GT as supplemental reinforcement with textile-reinforced mortar (TRM) in RC beams subjected to four-point bending loading. In addition, a control beam specimen cast no fabric. Monitoring load–deflection curves, crack patterns, layer performance showed that increased load-carrying capacity failure patterns one three similar trend, higher loading lower deflections than other Three recorded strength (52%) (6.3%), compared specimen.
