چکیده
Drought is a major abiotic stress that greatly affects canola growth, production, and quality. Moreover, water scarcity projected to be more severe frequent as result of climate change, in particular arid environments. Thereupon, developing drought-tolerant high-yielding genotypes has become critical sustaining its production ensuring global food security with the continuing population growth. In present study, ten comprising six developed tissue-cultured genotypes, two exotic commercial cultivars were evaluated under four irrigation regimes. The applied regimes well-watered (100% crop evapotranspiration, ETc), mild drought (80% moderate (60% (40% ETc) conditions. Drought-stress treatments (80, 60, 40% gradually reduced chlorophyll content, relative flowering time, days maturity, plant height, number pods, branches, seed yield, oil percentage, increased proline, phenolic, anthocyanin, glycine betaine contents. exhibited varied responses drought-stress T2, T3, T1, well genotype Torpe, possessed highest performance all parameters surpassed other tested water-deficit Overall, our findings elicited superiority certain newly ones compared cultivars, which could exploited breeding

Drought Tolerance of Several Tomato Genotypes Under Greenhouse Conditions
Growth and production of agricultural crops are greatly affected by water shortage. Thus, yield enhancement under drought conditions is a major goal of plant breeding. Four commercial tomato cultivars (Imperial, Pakmore VF, Strain-B and Tnshet Star), a drought-tolerant breeding line (L 03306) and their hybrid combinations were selected in this study to evaluate drought tolerance and to develop ...
متن کاملRooting traits of peanut genotypes differing in drought tolerance under drought stress
The effects of two water regimes (well-watered condition or drought stress) on root length, root surface area and root volume were tested on two peanut genotypes (the drought-resistantvariety HuaYu 22 (HY22) and the drought-sensitive variety HuaYu 23 (HY23)), measured 101days after sowing. The roots were sampled from the upper (0–40 cm) and deeper (40–100 cm)soil layers. Root diameter was measur...
متن کاملEvaluation of drought Tolerance Indices in Dryland Bread wheat Genotypes under Post-Anthesis drought Stress
Post-anthesis drought stress is the most important problem affecting wheat production in dryland fields, specially in Mediterranean regions. The main objective of this research was to evaluate drought tolerance indices in dryland wheat genotypes under post-anthesis drought stress. The research was including two different experiments. In each experiment, twenty dryland bread wheat genotypes were...
متن کاملEvaluation of Drought Tolerance in Barley Genotypes (Hordeum vulgare L.) using Drought Tolerance Indices
Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Drought stress is one of the most important factors in reducing yield and barley production in rainfed arid regions, and counteracting or reducing the effect of stresses as a useful solution to increase barley yield. Therefore, improvement of stress-tolerant and suitable barley cultivars for arid and semi-arid regions is essential. Material and Me...
متن کاملPath Analysis of Yield Related Traits in Wheat Genotypes under Normal Irrigation and Drought Stress Conditions
For identification of correlations and relations among different traits in bread wheat, 30 genotypes were investigated based on a split plot experiment in the form of randomized complete block design with three replications under normal and moisture stress conditions during the 2016-2017 crop season. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the effect of genotypes was significant for...
