Abstract The teachings of Durūs al-Lughah al-'Arabiyah are found in many Modern Universities as a teaching foundation for developing the four language skills. Students need this to know about Arabic. This study aims determine: (1) condition speaking skills first grade before learning Durusul lughah al-'Arabiyah, (2) Teaching System class, (3) effect 'Arabiyah on and results correlation between two. approach used research is quantitative. population 49 students first-grade Ar Risalah Ponorogo Islamic Boarding School, while sample taken using random sampling. Data collection techniques uses observation, questionnaires, documentation. data analysis Product Moment Correlation. are: 1) Before learn Lughah, do not or understand Arabic how give answers when they questioned things 2) Learning Lughah pondok behavioral method where required memorize vocabulary use with simple vocabulary. 3) Based product-moment calculations, it was that there relationship its efficiency towards skill School. value 0.718 which means H0 rejected Ha accepted.
