چکیده

Abstract Artemotil (β-arteether) is a semi-synthetic derivative of artemisinin - natural compound isolated from the plant Artemisia annuaand used worldwide as front-line anti-malarial drug. Besides its effect, several studies have reported potential use an anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory agent. was found to suppress generation function Th1 Th17 while promoting Foxp3+ regulatory T cells (Tregs). The role in modulating functions Type 1 not yet identified. Tr1 are one key cell types that essential for inhibiting inflammatory response through IL-10. In this study, we report additional by selectively inducing induced IL-27 upregulating signature genes such c-maf Prdm1, IRF-1, Batf. We co-administer with anti-CD3 antibody increases induction IL-10 frequency suppressing vivo associated less severe T-cell-induced enteropathy intestinal inflammation. further show chronic colitis model which treatment alleviates signs increased frequencies cells. Taken together, these data suggest provides protection T-cell-mediated increasing expansion This study supported grants Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department Technology (DST), Government India (CRG/2018/002653)

Altered Suppressor Function of Regulatory T Cells in Type 1 Diabetes

Background: Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a T cell mediated autoimmune disease targeting the insulin-producing β cells within pancreatic islets. Autoimmune diseases may develop as a consequence of altered balance between regulatory (Tregs) and autoreactive T cells. Objectives: To evaluate Treg cells frequency and suppressive function in the peripheral blood of newly diagnosed T1D patients in compari...

Induction of tolerance in type 1 diabetes via both CD4+CD25+ T regulatory cells and T regulatory type 1 cells.

Success in developing novel therapies to recommence self-tolerance in autoimmunity depends on the induction of T regulatory (Tr) cells. Here, we report that rapamycin combined with interleukin (IL)-10 efficiently blocks type 1 diabetes development and induces long-term immunotolerance in the absence of chronic immunosuppression in nonobese diabetic (NOD) mice. Rapamycin mediates accumulation in...

the effect of il-22 and il-28 in induction of type 1 regulatory t (tr1) cells.

cytokines have been introduced as critical inducers in the development of th subpopulations.cytokines like il-10 are involved in inducing regulatory t cells such as type 1 regulatory t (tr1) cells cells. il-22 is a member of il-10 family of cytokines, and il-28a is a member of ifn-γ family. in this study, cord blood mononuclear cells (cbmc) from normal healthy individuals were isolated by ficol...

A central role for induced regulatory T cells in tolerance induction in experimental colitis.

In addition to thymus-derived or natural T regulatory (nT(reg)) cells, a second subset of induced T regulatory (iT(reg)) cells arises de novo from conventional CD4(+) T cells in the periphery. The function of iT(reg) cells in tolerance was examined in a CD45RB(high)CD4(+) T cell transfer model of colitis. In situ-generated iT(reg) cells were similar to nT(reg) cells in their capacity to suppres...

Nanoparticle curcumin ameliorates experimental colitis via modulation of gut microbiota and induction of regulatory T cells

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Curcumin is a hydrophobic polyphenol derived from turmeric, a traditional Indian spice. Curcumin exhibits various biological functions, but its clinical application is limited due to its poor absorbability after oral administration. A newly developed nanoparticle curcumin shows improved absorbability in vivo. In this study, we examined the effects of nanoparticle curcumin (n...
