چکیده

Aims: To investigate the combined effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) and intercropping on control nematode Radopholus similis in banana.
Study Design: The study involved an experiment which banana-banana monocrops alongside banana-groundnut banana-sweet potato intercrops were inoculated with AMF Rhizophagus irregularis MUCL 41833 to R. similis.
Place Duration Study: Centre Africain de Recherches sur les Bananiers et Plantains (CARBAP), from September 2016 April 2017.
Methodology: An was conducted under greenhouse conditions (photoperiod 12 h. average temperature 24 - 28°C 70 80% relative humidity) tested against banana intercropped either groundnut, sweet or itself. plants cultivated boxes (30 x 15 10 cm) containing sterilized (2x1hour at 121°C) sand/coffee ash substrate (proportion 1:2 v/v), as system following plant combinations: Banana-banana, potato. experimental set-up a completely randomized design comprising four treatments six replicates: (1): Nematode (Nem), (2) AMF, (3) + Nema (4) without AMF. ratio banana: intercrop 1:1 treatments. A total 72 considered set-up.
Results: root colonization clearly affected by about 25% increment observed co-cultivated groundnut compared combination. Positive effects expressed increase biomass treatment fresh well shoot dry weights. However, impact systems did not confirm its bioprotective effect. Intercropping had significant (P < .05) has been shown be more effective controlling 62% reduction (24% reduction). Contrarily, growth decreased / combination.
Conclusion: Findings this indicate that biological is dependent species than

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and rhizobium facilitate nitrogen uptake and transfer in soybean/maize intercropping system

The tripartite symbiosis between legumes, rhizobia and mycorrhizal fungi are generally considered to be beneficial for the nitrogen (N) uptake of legumes, but the facilitation of symbiosis in legume/non-legume intercropping systems is not clear. Therefore, the aims of the research are as follows: (1) to verify if the dual inoculation can facilitate the N uptake and N transfer in maize/soybean i...

Enhancement of clover growth by inoculation of P-solubilizing fungi and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi.

This study evaluated the synergism between several P-solubilizing fungi isolates and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi to improve clover ( Trifolium pratense) growth in the presence of Araxá apatite. Clover was sown directly in plastic pots with 300g of sterilized washed sand, vermiculite and sepiolite 1:1:1 (v:v:v) as substrate, and grown in a controlled environment chamber. The substrate was ferti...

Inoculation of woody legumes with selected arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and rhizobia to recover desertified mediterranean ecosystems.

Revegetation strategies, either for reclamation or for rehabilitation, are being used to recover desertified ecosystems. Woody legumes are recognized as species that are useful for revegetation of water-deficient, low-nutrient environments because of their ability to form symbiotic associations with rhizobial bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi, which improve nutrient acquisition and help plants to ...

Responses of Guava Plants to Inoculation with Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi in Soil Infested with Meloidogyne enterolobii

In the Northeast of Brazil, expansion of guava crops has been impaired by Meloidogyne enterolobii that causes root galls, leaf fall and plant death. Considering the fact that arbuscular mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) improve plant growth giving protection against damages by plant pathogens, this work was carried out to select AMF efficient to increase production of guava seedlings and their tolerance ...

Response of Sesbania grandiflora to Inoculation of Soil with Vesicular-Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi.

A greenhouse experiment was conducted to determine the influence of two tropical isolates of Glomus fasciculatum and Glomus mosseae on the nutrient uptake and growth of Sesbania grandiflora. Inoculation of sterile soil with the fungi significantly improved growth and nutrient uptake by S. grandiflora, but the response of the legume was markedly better when the soil was inoculated with G. fascic...
