چکیده

Ship aquaculture platforms are expected to become a meaningful way expand offshore farming. The growth performance and nutritional composition of the large yellow croaker reared in an ship system nearshore traditional cage was evaluated this study. results showed that could effectively avoid harsh environment such as typhoons red tides. test adapted culture short time. No serious stress events occurred during whole rearing process. During experimental period, fish fed normally, disease controlled. has good conditions breeding with water temperature 21.5–28.5 °C, salinity 20.7–31.8‰, pH 7.6–8.4, dissolved oxygen 7.2–12.8 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen < 0.08 number bacteria vibrio were 1.2 ? 103–1.6 103 CFU/mL 102–1.8 102 CFU/mL, respectively. survival, weight gain rate, monthly 99.02%, 41.48%, 67.52 g, respectively, which significantly higher than those culture. crude protein content raised group, fat lower group. These indicated better cage. findings enhanced our understanding model croaker.

Molecular and immune response characterizations of IL-6 in large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea).

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional inflammatory cytokine which exists in multiple tissues and cell lines. In the present study, the full-length cDNA and the genomic sequence of IL-6 (LcIL-6) were cloned from large yellow croaker, Larimichthys crocea. The full-length cDNA of LcIL-6 was 1066 base pairs (bp), containing an open reading frame (ORF) of 678 bp encoding for 225 amino acids, a 5...

Molecular characterization and functional analysis of a piscidin gene in large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea)

The piscidin family, which includes potent antimicrobial peptides with broad-spectrum activity, plays an important role in the innate immune system of fish. In this study, we cloned piscidin-5-like type 3 (Lcpis5lt3) in large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea). Multiple alignments with other known piscidins revealed amino acid conservation throughout the fish, especially at the signal peptide...

Transcriptome Analysis Reveals L-amino Acids as Olfactory Stimulant in the Large Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys crocea)

Fish perceived small molecules with high aqueous solubility by chemoreception. The chemical senses of fish can be divided into olfaction, gustation and less well defined sense which is represented by the general chemical senses and the existing chemosensory cells [1,2]. Fish olfactory sense can detect four main classes of chemicals (odorants) mainly; amino acids, gonadal steroids, bile acids an...

Liver Transcriptome Analysis of the Large Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys crocea) during Fasting by Using RNA-Seq

The large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) is an economically important fish species in Chinese mariculture industry. To understand the molecular basis underlying the response to fasting, Illumina HiSeqTM 2000 was used to analyze the liver transcriptome of fasting large yellow croakers. A total of 54,933,550 clean reads were obtained and assembled into 110,364 contigs. Annotation to the NCB...

Nutrient compositional differentiation in the muscle of wild, inshore and offshore cage-cultured large yellow croaker (Pseudosciaena crocea)

The proximate composition, amino acid and fatty acid composition in the muscle of wild, inshore and offshore cage-cultured large yellow croaker (Pseudosciaena crocea) were determined to identify nutritional differences. Wild fish groups showed highest content of moisture and crude protein, but lowest lipid content. Offshore cage-cultured fish showed significantly higher content of moisture and ...
