Application of the Teams Game Tournament Model to Increase Biology Learning Activeness

Teachers and students need an adjustment period to adapt from distance learning face-to-face learning. This condition raises problems in the teaching process. The research used classroom action as a design for implementing TGT cooperative method increase activeness of class X Biology Class biology subject categorized low. To improve it, researcher utilized fun such TGT. participants were sixteen MIPA SMA Islam 1 Surakarta students. Data collection techniques observation, questionnaires, tests. Comparative descriptive statistics examine quantitative data, while critical analysis was analyze qualitative data. results data presented that students' increased high category (≥ 75%) with details 75% visual activity, 76% verbal 83% listening writing 96% motoric 89% mental 86% vigorous activity. These arise due active role syntax games matches. Nature card media generate interest learning, because contain picture-cued surrounding natural phenomena student environment. card's questions scaled student's cognitive capacity level impacted self-awareness care about It can be concluded contextual environment change model especially lessons.
