چکیده

The current study has been conducted to evaluate the growth performance of shrimp (Penaeus monodon) by applying eco-friendly culture mechanism like prebiotics and probiotics. experiment was carried out for 95 days in different farms at coastal district Bagerhat, Bangladesh. Three treatments viz., probiotic treated as T1, T2 both probiotics T3 with a control group were designed conduct experiment. size experimental ponds five acre stocking density 4/m2 each treatment. CP NASA feed (32% protein) given thrice day during period. After period, maximum weight gain observed (33.78±0.18 g) whereas minimum (25.69±0.10 g). survival rate highest (89.01%) followed (75.51%) T1 (53.44%) lowest (50.88%). Overall production higher (833.78 kg ha-1) compared (553.40 ha-1), (447.84 Control (310.57 ha-1). pH value found (7.71±0.08) it (7.41±0.10). In addition, TAN be 2.22±0.19 mg L-1 C pond (0.32±0.06 L-1). Therefore, could concluded that combine application might reliable media enhance maintaining environment aquaculture.

Penaeus monodon (tiger shrimp) hemocyanin: subunit composition and thermostability.

Penaeus monodon (class Crustacea, order Decapoda) is one of the largest shrimps of the Penaeidea family from the Indo-West Pacific region. The dioxygen-transporting protein hemocyanin, isolated from the hemolymph of this invertebrate, is composed of three 75-76 kDa structural/functional subunits designated as Pm1, Pm2 and Pm3. The N-terminal sequences of the chains were determined and compared ...

Bacterial Population in Intestines of the Black Tiger Shrimp (Penaeus monodon) under Different Growth Stages

Intestinal bacterial communities in aquaculture have been drawn to attention due to potential benefit to their hosts. To identify core intestinal bacteria in the black tiger shrimp (Penaeus monodon), bacterial populations of disease-free shrimp were characterized from intestines of four developmental stages (15-day-old post larvae (PL15), 1- (J1), 2- (J2), and 3-month-old (J3) juveniles) using ...

Strain Variations in Monodon Baculovirus (mbv) Infecting Penaeus Monodon (tiger Shrimp) in India

Viral diseases are the most serious problem in shrimp culture as they result in severe production and economic losses. Monodon baculovirus (MBV) is a member of nucleopolyhedrosis virus (NPV) group that infect penaeid shrimps. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays have been reported for specific and accurate detection of MBV. As variations in the strains of MBV would greatly affect the detectio...

Specific allergy to Penaeus monodon (seawater shrimp) or Macrobrachium rosenbergii (freshwater shrimp) in shrimp-allergic children.

BACKGROUND Allergy to specific shrimp species has not been studied systematically by oral challenges. A comparison of allergy to different shrimp species, especially seawater or freshwater varieties treatment, would be useful in testing shrimp-allergic subjects. OBJECTIVE The aim of the study was to identify cases of specific allergy to seawater shrimp, Penaeus monodon (Pm), or freshwater shr...
