Application of Phonetics and Phonology in Secondary Level Education for Reducing Bengali Impact on English Pronunciation in Bangladesh

The manuscript aimed at delineating the importance of introducing phonetics and phonology in ESL syllabus primary secondary level studies Bangladesh so that learners all levels could reduce Bengali's impact on English pronunciation. In terms as Lingua Franca (ELF), every mother tongue plays interference with a Second Language (ESL) pronunciation each geographical community. this respect, pronouncing like natives is big challenge for non-native speakers around world. scenarios seem alike Bangladesh, where major part its teachers language cannot pronounce IPA standard native speakers. Their excessive tongue-centred attitudes appear hindrances way to accents. Thus, have been lagging behind international communications. research work was conducted mixed method type quantitative predominating make article reliable. Tow data collection tools: questionnaire survey content analysis were used study. author hoped conclude by showing study elementary may be more effective strategy lessen Bengali Bangladeshi students might able speak Similarly, if any country terminology mentioned above same education, they influence their use standard.
