Application of IAC Yokohama System For Reporting Breast Fine Needle Aspiration- A Retrospective Study

Background: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide in females and an important cause mortality morbidity. FNAC a safe, reliable, sensitive, specific, time saving cost effective procedure useful diagnosis carcinoma breast. It helps surgeon planning treatment, thereby reducing delay treatment. The primary aim this study to find out spectrum breast lesions on fine needle aspiration cytology based IAC Yokohama system tertiary care hospital north central Haryana.Methods: This retrospective carried north-central Haryana included 417 patients palpable lumps presented Department Pathology for during January 2018 December 2019. was done under all aseptic conditions various cytomorphological patterns were analysed according reporting aspirations.Result: Of cases study, 328 benign, 04 atypical probably suspicious malignancy, 64 malignant 17 inadequate opinion. Fibroadenoma found be lesion. Overall benign are much more than lesions.
 Conclusion: tool diagnose help differentiating lesions. Early aid management these patients.
