Application of Generalized (Hyper-) Dual Numbers in Equation of State Modeling

The calculation of derivatives is ubiquitous in science and engineering. In thermodynamics, particular, state properties can be expressed as thermodynamic potentials. manual differentiation complex models tedious error-prone. this work, we revisit dual hyper-dual numbers for the exact show generalizations to higher order with respect vector quantities. methods described paper are accompanied by an open source Rust implementation Python bindings. Applications generalized (hyper-) given context equation modeling critical points.
