Applicability of using the 3D concrete printing technology in Sudan

Three-dimensional (3D) Printing is an advanced manufacturing process that has been applied to many fields. Recently, the 3D Concrete (3DCP) employed for construction due its ability produce complex shapes easily, with less human intervention and minimum material wastage. However, there are challenging issues regarding cost of components concrete mixture which not fully explored. The aim this paper review 3DCP technology investigate possibility applying it in Sudan, specifically low-cost housing. In order meet aim, a comprehensive done study projects implemented worldwide using technique. Then, some mixtures have reviewed analyze amount materials used each mix. necessary tests ensure the, workability, Extrudability buildability also specified. Then technique compared three common methods Sudan housing those were 40 square meters area plan. These cement blocks, Ferrocement graded sand mixture.. comparison made terms cost, duration man-force required. results shown model needed least number days. was highest second best labors.
