Applicability of displacement ventilation and impinging jet ventilation system to heating operation

This study aims to acquire an understanding of the fundamental feature IJV and DV under heating operation. Full-scale experiments were conducted these two different systems supply air conditions along with temperature distribution ventilation effectiveness. A wall surface test room was cooled as a load, elements simulating occupants located internal heat load contaminant emission source. Three cases tested flow rate also varied correspondingly. The position terminal changed see its effect on performance, that is, mounted interior/exterior wall. For DV, temperature/contaminant differed significantly depending conditions, while remained almost same perfect mixing condition. Generally, can achieve better compared DV; however, effectiveness superior large rate. correlation between Archimedes number based indices expressing local is obtained. IJV, found have larger impact than rate, opposite obtained for DV.
