Antioxidant and Elastase, Tyrosinase, α-Glucosidase Inhibitory Effects of Five Types of Mint Extracts

Purpose: This study evaluated the biological activity of five types mints (Peppermint, Spearmint, Chocomint, Applemint, Pineapplemint).Methods: Five were extracted with an ethanol solvent to compare total polyphenol and flavonoid content, scavenging activities DPPH ABTS radical, SOD-like activity, inhibitory effects elastase, tyrosinase, α-glucosidase.Results: All mint extracts confirmed be effective significantly in concentration. The content was found order peppermint>spearmint>chocomint>pineapplemint>applemint, peppermint> chocomint>spearmint>pineapplemint>applemint. radical peppermint>spearmint>chocomint> pineapplemint>applemint, peppermint>chocomint>spearmint>pineapplemint>applemi nt. peppermint>chocomint> spearmint> pineapplemint>applemint. α-glucosidase pineapplemint>applemint.Conclusion: As above results, all verified In particular, peppermint indicated highest polyphenol, flavonoid, DDPH while chocomint displayed tyrosine, effects.
