Antinociceptive Effect of Ethanol Extract of Physalis Angulata

Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage, described in terms of such damage. the most common reason a patient sees physician. However, conventional painkillers are not completely effective controlling all pain syndromes; thus, additional efforts have been made to develop analgesic drugs from natural materials. In this study, ethanolic extract Physalis angulata (EEA) was examined for its antinociceptive activity at doses 140, 280, 560 mg/kg body weight. Acetic acid-induced writhing used evaluate EEPa. The results showed that EEPa (140, BW) had significant activity. percentage inhibition 29,41%, 37,96%, 44,38%, respectively. These findings suggest leaves extracts possess promising effects.
