چکیده

Objective: Non-typhoidal Salmonella (NTS) is a major cause of human salmonellosis globally. Food animals are NTS reservoirs. An increase in antimicrobial resistance (AMR) foodborne has led to clinical treatment failures. Here, examine the prevalence and perform characterization with AMR China, we tested susceptibility 1,256 isolates cultured from retail foods 2020 China. Methods: The 26 agents representing 12 classes was evaluated broth-microdilution method; presence ten mcr genes screened multi-PCR. complete closed genomes -gene-carrying were generated by hybrid assembly through whole genome sequencing on both PacBio Illumina platforms. Genomic features genetic environments mcr-1 gene analysed. Results: overall drug rate 92.28%, multi-drug (MDR) 76.53%. A total 341 profiles determined, highest nalidixic acid (63.38%). Among 887 MDR, 232 showed co-resistance cefotaxime ciprofloxacin, 25 resistant agents. isolated different regions varied. Isolates raw chicken sources most frequently resistance. Four carried represented four serotypes. gene-bearing plasmids classified into two replicon types (IncI2 IncHI2A). Two IncI2 type found be located between PAP2 family protein-encoding relaxase-encoding gene, whereas other structures IncHI2A variations insertion sequences. Conclusion: Our data demonstrated severe among food thus highlighting importance surveillance decrease spread AMR, particularly critical drugs medicine.

Prevalence and antimicrobial resistance of Salmonella in retail foods in northern China.

A total of 387 retail meat, seafood and milk powder samples were collected from nine cities in northern China in 2005 and screened for the presence of Salmonella. Salmonella strains isolated were subjected to serotyping and antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Salmonella was isolated from 81 (20.9%, 81/387) samples and classified into 23 serotypes. The isolates were frequently resistant to sul...

Drug Resistance Patterns of Typhoidal and Non-typhoidal Salmonella Species in Hamadan

ABSTRACT The epidemiological studies indicate that the incidence of salmonellosis is increasing throughout the world. The uncontroled and unappropriate usage of antibiotics has been caused multi - drug resistance in these organisms, in recent years. In a cross-sectional descriptive study, 204 strains of typhoidal salmonella (T.S) and 114 strains of non-typhoidal salmonella (N.T.S) were exami...

Diversity and Antimicrobial Resistance Genotypes in Non-Typhoidal Salmonella Isolates from Poultry Farms in Uganda

Non-typhoidal Salmonella (NTS) are foodborne pathogens of global public health significance. The aim of this study was to subtype a collection of 85 NTS originating from poultry farms in Uganda, and to evaluate a subgroup of phenotypically resistant isolates for common antimicrobial resistance genes and associated integrons. All isolates were subtyped by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE)....

Antimicrobial resistance in non-typhoidal Salmonella from human sources, Spain, 2001-2003.

OBJECTIVES To determine the current state of antimicrobial resistance among non-typhoidal Salmonella strains isolated from humans in Spain. METHODS All strains of Salmonella from human sources received in the reference laboratory from 2001 to 2003 were serotyped and phage types were determined in the most common serovars. A systematic sampling procedure was carried out in order to obtain a ra...

Prevalence, antimicrobial resistance and genetic diversity of Yersinia enterocolitica isolated from retail frozen foods in China.

In this study, our aim was to estimate the extent of Yersinia enterocolitica contamination in frozen foods in China and determine the bioserotype, virulotype, antimicrobial resistance, and enterobacterial repetitive intergenic consensus-PCR (ERIC-PCR) genotyping profiles of recovered Y. enterocolitica isolates. Out of 455 samples collected between July 2011 and May 2014, 56 (12.3%) tested posit...
