چکیده
Objective: Presently, one of the most common oral diseases is dental caries, which a biofilm-mediated disease. Lawsone methyl ether (LME) has shown promising antibacterial activity due to its 1,4-napthoquinone structure. Recently, 1,2,3-triazole scaffold been used in structural modification potential antimicrobial agents. To develop novel anticaries agents, structure with N-substituted 1,2,3-triazole, therefore, may be candidate. Material and Methods: LME was as lead compound, three new lawsone derivatives were prepared by two-step reactions. Their effects against caries pathogens; including S. mutans, L. casei, A. naeslundii investigated, using microdilution technique (0.78-100 μg/mL). A growth curve assay performed assess compounds on kinetics bacteria. Moreover, effect synthetic biofilm formation mutans also evaluated crystal violet assay. Results: Overall, sensitive (minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC)=1.56- 50 μg/mL), followed casei: corresponding their curves. derivatives, at 1/2 MIC 1/4 MIC, inhibited 12-hour 86.0-98.0%. The decreased decreasing concentrations increasing incubation times. Conclusion: Synthetic have an tested cariogenic bacteria, mutans. exhibited anti-cariogenic bacterial strains satisfying antibiofilm
