چکیده
Objective: assessing antimicrobial activity of toothpastes with different ingredient composition recommended for infants and toddlers. Materials Methods. The study object was dental plaque children decompensated form caries under the age 3 years old. Seven designed early childhood were studied. Identification detected microorganisms carried out via mass spectrometry. Antibacterial determined by agar diffusion serial dilution methods. Results. Toothpastes containing xylitol, lactic enzymes ingredients medicinal herbs exhibited absence a microbial growth inhibition zone. Fluoride active against all tested microorganisms, final fluoride inhibitory concentration 0.00016-0.0025%, depending on in toothpaste. Conclusion. least pronounced complex herbs, as well samples xylitol. Simple organic inorganic fluorine compounds demonstrated best bactericidal effect.

Topical antimicrobial therapy in the prevention of early childhood caries.
PURPOSE Early childhood caries (ECC) is microbiologically characterized by heavy infection of mutans streptococci (ms) on dental surfaces. Accordingly, it is reasonable to speculate that suppression of dental ms levels would decrease risk for ECC. On this basis, randomized double blind, placebo controlled pilot study was performed to test this concept. METHODS The study population consisted o...
متن کاملAssociation of Salivary sCD14 Concentration Levels with Early Childhood Caries
Background: Early childhood caries (ECC) is a severe type of dental caries affecting infants and pre-school children. Because of the infectious nature of the disease, the immunologic response by the host plays an essential role in its development. Objective: This study investigated the association between the presence of salivary sCD14 and ECC. Methods: This study was carried out on 40 healthy ...
متن کاملAntimicrobial activity of ozone and NaF-chlorhexidine on early childhood caries.
An early childhood carie (ECC) is an extremely destructive form of tooth decay. The aim of this study was to investigate the action of ozone (O3), and the association of sodium fluoride (NaF) with chlorhexidine (CHX) on bacteria related to ECC. Overnight culture of the bacteria was performed. On exponential phase the suspension was adjusted (101-108 CFU/mL). A drop (10μL) of each concentration ...
متن کاملComparison of Salivary Secretory IgA in Caries-free Children and Children with Severe Early Childhood Caries
Background & Aims: Sever early childhood caries (SECC) is a multifactor common disease that unfortunately there have been a lot of unknown points about it. This study was performed to compare the levels of total S-IgA in children with and without SECC. Methods: In this cross-sectional study 44 children aged 6-24 months were divided into two groups of with SECC (n=20) and without SECC (n=24). Th...
متن کاملEarly Childhood Caries
Dental caries is one of the most common childhood diseases, and people continue to be susceptible to it throughout their lives. Although dental caries can be arrested and potentially even reversed in its early stages, it is often not self-limiting and progresses without proper care until the tooth is destroyed. Early childhood caries (ECC) is often complicated by inappropriate feeding practices...
