چکیده

Ubiquitin-40S ribosomal protein S27a (RPS27A), ubiquitin-like Fubi, and (S30FAU) are ubiquitin-related proteins that involved in the regulation of immune-related functions such as cell cycle, expression, apoptosis. This study aimed to confirm molecular characteristics, gene expression analysis, antibacterial activity RPS27A S30FAU identified from starry flounder (15 flounders 128.7 ± 18.2 g). An analysis using a normal fish showed was highly expressed head kidney, heart, stomach. In contrast, exhibited high stomach, kidney. Upon simulating an artificial pathogen infection, heart at 1 h 3 days post-viral hemorrhagic septicemia (VHSV) had liver, 7 post-Streptococcus parauberis (S. parauberis) infection. spleen gills day 12 post-VHSV respectively, kidney post-S. MIC antimicrobial against all bacteria used this study. biofilm assay, removed S. concentration-dependent manner, cytotoxicity test no hemolytic both S30FAU. Therefore, were confirmed possess peptide abilities without limitations cytotoxicity. provides valuable information on ability biology ubiquitin family isolated flounder.

Ubiquitin-ribosomal protein S27a gene overexpressed in human colorectal carcinoma is an early growth response gene.

One of the extension proteins on the carboxy terminus of ubiquitin was reported as the ribosomal protein S27a. We have cloned a gene which encodes this ubiquitin hybrid protein from a complementary DNA library of a human colon carcinoma cell line. Northern blot analysis of surgical specimens from colon cancer patients showed that these messenger RNA levels were higher in tumor tissue than in ad...

The carboxyl extension of a ubiquitin-like protein is rat ribosomal protein S30.

The amino acid sequence of the rat 40 S ribosomal subunit protein S30 was deduced from the sequence of nucleotides in a recombinant cDNA and confirmed by the determination of the 18 residues at the NH2 terminus of the protein. Unlike the majority of ribosomal proteins, which are unprocessed primary products of the translation of their mRNAs, S30 is formed by cleavage from a larger hybrid protei...

Novel ubiquitin fusion proteins: ribosomal protein P1 and actin.

Ubiquitin is a small, highly conserved protein found in all eukaryotic cells. Through its covalent attachment to other proteins, ubiquitin regulates numerous important cellular processes including apoptosis, transcription, and the progression of the cell cycle. Ubiquitin expression is unusual: it is encoded and expressed as multimeric head-to-tail repeats (polyubiquitins) that are post-translat...

Respiratory, ventilatory, and cardiovascular responses to experimental anaemia in the starry flounder, Platichthys stellatus.

Unrestrained, quiescent starry flounder maintained approximately normal levels of O2 uptake in the face of severe experimental anaemia. At haematocrits above about 5%, the only major compensation was a reduction in venous O2 tension which lowered venous saturation and thereby kept a constant difference between arterial and venous O2 contents. Below a haematocrit of about 5%, this difference dec...

The First Report of a Megalocytivirus Infection in Farmed Starry Flounder, Platichthys stellatus, in Korea

In 2009, a systemic megalocytivirus infection associated with high mortality was detected for the first time in cultured starry flounder Platichthys stellatus in Korea. Diseased starry flounder had pale bodies and gill coloring and enlarged spleens. Histopathological examinations revealed basophilic enlarged cells in various organs of diseased starry flounder. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) wa...
