Antifungal activity of silver nanoparticles and clotrimazole against Candida spp.

The aim of present study was calculate the Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) silver nanoparticles and clotrimazole for Candida species their interaction by adaptation standarized methods. MICs values were 9 E-04-3 E-03 ug/ml, 0.1-0.6 3 E-03- 0.1 ug/ml E-03-0.3 albicans susceptible to fluconazole, resistance krusei parapsilosis respectively. 26.50- 53 ug/ml; 26.50-106 106-212 ug/ ml Synergism between measured checkerboard BMD (broth microdilution) test shown only C. fluconazole because fractional (FICs) 0.07 - 0.15 ug/ml. Indifference other tested FICs 0.5 2- 3.06 results suggest synergistic activity depending on fungus analysed, however we recommend incorporation others measurement methodologies confirm our results.
