چکیده

Psychrotrophic bacteria are one of the significant microbes in chilled meat, pseudomonasis most predominant member this group. Pseudomonas could survive various ecological niches. In current study, we detect prevalence aeruginosa meat at Mosul city retailsandtheir antibiotics resistance profile. One hundred fifty samples from beef, mutton and chicken were collected aseptically cultivated. P. isolates phenotypically genetically recognized, their antimicrobial activity was carried out for cultured isolates. Our findings revealed that 21 (14%) positive with a high recovery rate 11 (22%) beef 7 compared to 3 (6%). The level 100% amoxicillin, 66% aztreonam. susceptibilities 95% tobramycin, 90% levofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, gentamicin, 76% piperacillin, 57% meropenem. conclusion, is likely be more common meat, especially chicken. Therefore, good hygienic practices should applied handle preserve under suitable conditions extend its shelf life, ensure safety, conserve consumer health.

Antibiotics and Heavy Metal Resistance of Three Strains of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Isolated from Different Ecological Areas

Abstract Bachground and Objective: most of environmental microorganisms have the genes resistance to antibiotics and metals. The aim of the current study was to survey resistance pattern to some antibiotics and heavy metals in three pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from different ecological areas. Material and Methods: first, the isolates were identified by biochemical methods and phylogenetic a...

Drug resistance of isolated strains of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa from burn wound infections to selected antibiotics and disinfectants

Background and Objectives: Infection is the most common problem following burn injury. Selection and dissemination of intrinsic and acquired resistance mechanisms increase the probability of burn wound colonization by resistant species including Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Multi-drug resistant Pseudomonas ae...

Resistance to antibiotics and heavy metals of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from natural waters.

The resistance patterns of Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains isolated from freshwater and seawater to different antimicrobial agents and heavy metals were studied. It was found that resistance in these environments is linked to the level of faecal pollution. All strains were resistant to ampicillin and tetracycline but sensitive to carbenicillin, amikacin, tobramycin, and colistin, and to the assa...

Pseudomonas aeruginosa serotypes and resistance to antibiotics from wound swabs.

INTRODUCTION/AIM Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) is the most common cause of wound infections, following the disruption of the skin or mucous membranes integrity. The aim of this study was to analyze of the presence P. aeruginosa in wound swabs, antibiotics susceptibility testing, determination of the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of antibiotics, testing of the metallo-β-lacta...

Emergence of Ciprofloxacin Resistance Among Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Isolated from Burn Patients

Background: Increasing resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to ciprofloxacin in ICU/burn units has created a problem in the treatment of infections caused by this microorganism. Methods: Fifty P. aeruginosa strains were isolated from burn patients hospitalized in the Kerman Hospital during May 1999-April 2000 and were tested for in-vitro sensitivity to different antibiotics by disc diffusion br...
