Anti-Obesity Activities of Standardized Ecklonia stolonifera Extract in 3T3-L1 Preadipocytes and High-Fat-Diet-Fed ICR Mice

The purpose of this study was to prepare a clinical trial test material (ESETM, Ecklonia stolonifera extract) develop health functional food based on its anti-obesity effect. effect ESETM evaluated in 3T3-L1 adipocytes and obese mice fed high-fat diet (HFD) confirm nonclinical before application trial. Adipogenesis is process preadipocyte differentiation that causes an increase the production reactive oxygen species (ROS) lipid accumulation. In vitro results indicated outstandingly inhibits ROS accumulation during adipogenesis lipogenesis. vivo, ESETM-treated ICR had reduced HFD-induced weight change, efficiency ratio, adipose tissue weight, liver showed improved serum profiles. Our show change by regulating adipogenesis, lipogenesis, lipolysis, thermogenesis pathways.
